About
She is a teacher and researcher in Apidology and Economic Entomology at the Department of Plant Production and Protection, Faculty of Agricultural Technology at Al-Balqa Applied University, with 26 years of experience.
She received a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in Plant Protection, as well as a Ph.D. in Apiculture from Hohenheim University in Stuttgart, Germany.
Her research focuses on honey bee breeding and molecular biology, honey bee thermodynamics, honey bee products, pests and diseases of honey bees, and sustainable apiculture.
She has published a book and more than 68 scientific articles on honey bees in highly ranked international journals.
She has received several honors and awards, including recognition as a distinguished researcher and distinguished expert, the Philadelphia University Prize for the Best Written Book in Technology, and recognition as a Distinguished Woman Researcher in 2021 and 2025.
Administrative Positions: She has held a number of administrative positions, the most recent of which was Dean of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at Al-Balqa Applied University.
