Terms and Regulations for Scientific Contributions Submission
The Scientific Committee of the 16th International Conference of the Arab Beekeepers Union invites researchers, academics, experts, specialists, and stakeholders interested in honey bee science, beekeeping, and bee products to submit their scientific contributions within the different conference themes, in accordance with the following terms and regulations:
General Participation Requirements
- The submitted contribution must fall within one of the approved scientific themes of the conference.
- The contribution should address topics of scientific or practical importance related to honey bee sciences, bee products, ecosystem services, development of the beekeeping sector, economics and marketing, artificial intelligence, and its applications.
- Both unpublished contributions presenting new research findings and previously published contributions of significant scientific or practical value may be accepted, provided they align with the conference objectives and themes.
- Authors must clearly indicate the publication status of their contribution at the time of submission and provide complete publication details for previously published works.
- All submissions will undergo scientific evaluation and peer review by the Conference Scientific Committee.
- Contributions are welcomed from researchers, academics, postgraduate students, research and development organizations, and relevant private sector institutions.
- All costs related to conference attendance and participation, including travel, accommodation, and participation fees for researchers, shall be covered by the participant according to the approved conference procedures.
Types and Formats of Scientific Contributions
Original Research Papers
Completed scientific studies presenting new research findings, including a clearly defined research problem, specific objectives, appropriate methodology, data analysis, discussion of results, conclusions, and recommendations.
Applied Research Papers
Research focusing on scientific or technological solutions to practical problems in beekeeping and bee-product production, with emphasis on practical and field applicability.
Case Studies
Practical experiences, applied projects, or specific challenges, including analysis of results, lessons learned, and potential applicability in other environments.
Innovation and Technology Papers
Papers addressing artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, smart sensors, drones, digital applications, data analysis, and other emerging technologies related to the beekeeping sector.
Technical Reports and Development Projects
Reports presenting development projects, extension programs, community initiatives, or successful experiences implemented by governmental institutions, universities, international organizations, or specialized associations.
Scientific Posters
Poster-format scientific contributions suitable for postgraduate students, ongoing research projects, preliminary findings, exploratory studies, and innovative research initiatives.

Abstract Preparation and Submission Requirements
The submitted abstract must include:
- Title of the contribution.
- Names of all authors and institutional affiliation of each author.
- Email address of the presenting author.
- Selection of the relevant conference theme.
- Selection of the contribution type.
- Abstract text.
Original and Applied Research Papers
The abstract should preferably include:
- Introduction or background.
- Research objectives.
- Methodology.
- Main findings.
- Conclusions and/or recommendations.
- Keywords: 3–5 keywords.
Case Studies, Innovation Papers, and Technical Reports
- Description of the problem or concept.
- Objectives of the study or project.
- Implementation methodology or technology used.
- Main results or outputs.
- Practical significance or lessons learned.
The abstract should not exceed 300–350 words.
Arabic text: Traditional Arabic, size 14.
English text: Times New Roman, size 12.
Abstracts must be submitted in both Word and PDF formats.
Evaluation and Acceptance Criteria
All submitted abstracts will undergo scientific peer review according to the following criteria:
- Relevance of the contribution to the conference themes.
- Significance and originality of the topic.
- Scientific or practical value.
- Clarity of objectives and methodology.
- Accuracy and reliability of analysis.
- Quality of results and conclusions.
- Potential contribution to the development of the beekeeping sector.
Originality and Research Integrity
- The submitted work must be original and prepared by the author(s) or research team involved.
- Compliance with research ethics and academic integrity standards.
- Proper citation and documentation of all references and sources.
- Disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest, if applicable.
- Obtaining the necessary ethical approvals whenever required.
- The Scientific Committee reserves the right to use plagiarism and similarity detection software.
- The Scientific Committee may reject any submission containing plagiarism, an unacceptable similarity level, or any violation of research ethics.
Submission Language and Publication
- Contributions may be submitted in either Arabic or English.
- Accepted abstracts will be included in the Conference Abstract Book according to the approved procedures.
- Selected outstanding contributions may be recommended for scientific publication opportunities.
