Professor Mohammad I. Majdalawi is a Full Professor of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at the University of Jordan, specializing in water economics, environmental economics, and agricultural marketing.
He served as Vice Dean for Accreditation and International Ranking (2024–2025) and previously led the Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Department and university quality-assurance portfolios.
He holds a DAAD-funded PhD in Agricultural Socio-Economics from the University of Hohenheim.
His research spans the water–energy–food nexus, irrigation and wastewater reuse economics, and climate-smart value chains.
He has consulted across Jordan and the MENA region for FAO, World Bank (EBA), USAID, UNDP, Netherlands Enterprise Agency, IFAD-linked Foresight4Food (2024–2025), and ECO Consult (2025–2026).
He has led policy reviews, value-chain analyses, including the dates sector, and socio-economic assessments focusing on water, agriculture, and climate resilience.
Recent Research: His recent publications cover soilless techniques for farm profitability and ecosystem services in Jordan.
