About
Professor Dr. Elhosseny El-Sayed Hosseny Nawar's academic career began with obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Sciences, specializing in Plant Protection, in 2002. He was appointed as a Demonstrator in the Plant Protection Department in the same year.
He obtained a Master's degree in Economic Entomology (Apiculture) in 2006, followed by a Ph.D. in the field of honeybees in 2011.
He was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2017 and subsequently to Professor in 2021, specializing in Economic Entomology (Apiculture).
He was a member of a scientific mission at Huazhong University, Wuhan, Hubei Province, People's Republic of China, during 2019.
He served as a trainer in the training program for qualifying Saudi youth in beekeeping and bee product production, a project of the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, from June 2021 to April 2022.
He was a member of the Scientific Committee of the 15th International Conference of the Arab Beekeepers Union, held from December 2 to 6, 2025. He is also a member of the committee responsible for developing technical regulations to determine standards for bee products at the Egyptian National Food Safety Authority.
He has published 26 scientific papers in international and local journals and has supervised 11 Master's theses and 8 doctoral dissertations.
He is a reviewer for the Permanent Scientific Committee for the Promotion of Professors and Associate Professors in Plant Protection at Egyptian universities. He also serves as a reviewer for several international and local scientific journals, including:
