Professor of Economic Entomology and Apiculture, holding a Ph.D. from Alexandria University, Egypt (1979). He has been a Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture, Tishreen University, Syria, since 1993 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2005.
A renowned Arab expert and researcher in economic entomology and beekeeping, with over four decades of experience.
Lecturer, trainer, evaluator, and consultant for the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development since 1995.
Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab Beekeepers Union (Syria Branch) and Advisor to the Union since 2008.
Expert for the Syrian Ministry of Agriculture in honey bees, bumblebees, and sericulture.
Author of more than 80 peer-reviewed scientific papers, with the majority of his research focusing on honey bees.
Author of 10 specialized scientific books covering beekeeping, sericulture, bumblebees, and related fields.
Supervisor of numerous Master's and Ph.D. theses in apiculture and sericulture.
Participant and keynote speaker in more than 25 national and international scientific conferences.
Recipient of the First Prize for Best Scientific Research on Honey Bees at the Arab and International Beekeeping Conferences in Egypt (2014) and Iraq (2015).
