Currently serves as Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research at the Faculty of Agriculture.

Academic Qualifications

Holds a Ph.D. in Crop Physiology from Texas Tech University, USA (August 1998).

Academic & Research Experience

Has over 27 years of academic and research experience in teaching and scientific research.

Research Interests

Research interests focus on plant responses to environmental stresses such as drought and salinity.

Resource-Use Efficiency

Works on improving nutrient uptake and resource-use efficiency, as well as studying plant–microbe interactions and their role in enhancing stress tolerance.

Research Projects

Participated in and managed numerous locally and internationally funded research projects.

Scientific Publications

Authored and co-authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in internationally indexed journals.

Academic Supervision

Supervised more than 30 MSc and PhD students in crop physiology and sustainable agriculture.

Scientific & Advisory Committees: Served on national scientific and advisory committees in agriculture and climate change.
