Towards a More Innovative and Sustainable Future for Arab Beekeeping

The 16th International Conference of the Arab Beekeepers Union is convening in Amman at a time when the beekeeping sector is experiencing rapid and far-reaching transformation. These changes call for a renewed approach to production practices, management methods, innovation pathways, and the sector’s capacity to respond effectively to evolving environmental, economic, and technological challenges.

Organized by the Jordanian Specialized Beekeepers Union in Amman, the conference brings together beekeepers, researchers, experts, academics, institutions, companies, and policymakers in a shared platform for dialogue on the future of Arab beekeeping.

The program addresses a broad range of priorities, including emerging technologies and artificial intelligence, honey bee colony health, product quality and value addition, investment, value chains, sustainability, and biodiversity conservation.

The conference seeks to go beyond knowledge exchange. It aims to translate scientific knowledge, research, and accumulated expertise into practical solutions, effective partnerships, and initiatives capable of generating sustainable impact across the beekeeping sector.

From Amman, we aspire to build stronger bridges between science and practice, innovation and markets, and beekeepers and institutions. Through these connections, Arab beekeeping can further develop its capacity for sustainable growth and competitiveness, while strengthening its contribution to food security, ecosystem conservation, the green economy, and rural development .

Welcome to Amman… where science meets experience, ideas evolve into partnerships, and together we shape the future of Arab beekeeping.
